  A wonderful surprise...a unique experience! We were spending time with family in Broadcove, and it was a cool drizzly morning so Sue suggested we have brunch in Grates Cove, saying it would be different...Courtney, the hostess, was absolutely delightful as she explained the menu. We couldn't decide (it all sounded intriguing) so she suggested that we have a "Sampler Meal" so we could enjoy it all. We were amazed at the flavours, presentation and overall experience. We chatted with Courtney and Terrence about their background and activities in their Studio, and enjoyed their enthusiasm for our province.

  Lovely and quaint in a beautiful little community in Conception Bay North at the tip of the Avalon peninsula. Delicious home cooked food in an old, but beautifully renovated schoolhouse. Owners are friendly, and knowledgeable of the area. Live entertainment is offered during tourist season. It is a bit off the beaten track but worth the drive as the entire route is Very scenic.

  Our meals were served to each of our individual liking. They went so far as to make something separate from the days menu to ensure we had a great experience.

  Courtney and Terrence really are the hosts with the most. Every consideration and accommodation was made for my partner and I. I love to try new things but do not eat any seafood. Shawn is a very picky eater and likes to keep things simple.

  If you enjoy exploring new foods with a blend of Newfoundland and the exotic...if you enjoy exploring the true Newfoundland rural coastline...this place will delight you! We are already looking forward to another visit!
